lived there from 1946 to1957. Still remember my first girlfriend. Lee Griese. We were all of 12 years old. Many great times going to house parties and dances in the old town hall. Would like to visit again some time, but time marches on.
Loved my teacher and I finally learned to read.actually got in trouble because I always read the whole reader too soon.

Carrot River is my hometown. I was born in old hospital which has since been torn down. My mom and my dad both still live there Dennis and Peggy Relland, and I do miss home. Love to visit every chance I get and always run into old friends when I visit. Great new website, sure is better than the old one. Two thumbs up!
My Grandmother Susanna Klassen is buried at the Blue Jay cemetery by the old Mennonite church out in the country and I am looking to find someone who is willing to go out there, take a picture of the gravesite and email it to me. If anyone is willing to make a drive out there please email me.
I love Carrot River even though I am not from there my mom was born and raised there I still feel like it is home to me. been visiting since I was born as I still have relatives there.
