As a regional College, Cumberland College offers a variety of programs and courses that provide a great number of opportunities for adults in the community. The College will arrange for courses and programs in areas where there is a demand for them throughout the district. Credit courses are offered via distance, online and face-to-face from the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, SIAST and a number of other sources and are available in the neighbouring community of Nipawin.

The newly constructed Carrot River Valley School offers a first rate primary and secondary education along with an athletics program in Kindergarten to Grade 12. The School has large grounds featuring a track for track and field events, a football park and program, an exercise and weight room and operates other sports including curling, volleyball, basketball and badminton. Through much community support Carrot River Valley School also boasts an enhanced Industrial Arts Lab and a Performing Arts Theatre. Carrot River Valley School has a long history of regularly having students receive high academic honors such as the Governor-Generals Award. The school features and extensive library, which complement the Wapiti Regional Library, located on Main Street.
